Placeholdr is an alternative rock band based out of Long Island, New York. Starting out as a duo, Jacob Koch and Robin Keaton started the group in 2019, beginning with a short project called Under Cover, an EP with three cover songs. The duo then released Start Again, their first original song in 2021, on multiple digital platforms, establishing a presence on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music. Then, in August of 2022, two new members were added, those being Matt Greene and Will Kleemann, along with the release of their first EP, Sample Platter, further solidifying their presence on digital platforms and giving the scene a taste (pun intended) of what the band would offer in the future. Placeholdr has performed in notable locations such as My Father’s Place in Glen Cove and Still Partners in Sea Cliff, as well as having performed alongside prominent artists such as Mark Newman and Dr Danny and the Patients.
