Jacob Koch is a musician, audio engineer, and producer based out of Long Island, New York. Growing up in a musical family, Jacob was exposed to diverse styles of music at a young age, such as rock, funk, jam, choral, and classical music. He later studied music and Audio Engineering at Nassau Community College and Five Towns College under expert musicians such as Ben Arendsen, John Machado, and Paul Sheehan. Jacob has since moved on to work at various live sound venues, such as OSNYC VGM Jam Sessions, The Historic Suffolk Theater, My Father’s Place, and Treme Jazz Bar, while still performing with and producing the alternative band Placeholdr, recently recording and producing their debut EP, Sample Platter. Jacob has also cultivated his love of gaming, working for over 5 years on the production teams for AON Gaming and GenGAME under the tag “SageOfSong”, helping broadcast events such as Super Smash Con, Let’s Make Moves, and the Yoshi’s Island tournament series.
